Affiliate marketing is a cost-effective way to increase brand awareness, loyalty, and recognition. However, a crucial part to keep this machine properly working is to address affiliate sales promptly. And what better way to do so than by leveraging automation?
The “New Affiliate Sales” trigger lets you create workflows that start upon an affiliate completing a sale or a sale being attributed to them.
Adding Your Trigger
You can find this trigger in the Affiliate section of your workflow triggers. To add it, simply click “+ Add New Trigger” and select it.

Workflow Trigger Name
Update the name that will be displayed in the builder.

Narrowing The Reach
Define the contacts that should be added to the workflow by including filters based on the desired criteria. The main filter for this trigger will be:
Affiliate
Select “Affiliate” from the Filters dropdown. Next, you will need to choose your operator. Finally, select the affiliate you want to trigger or exclude from your workflow.

Campaign
Select “Campaign” from the Filters dropdown. Next, you will need to choose your operator. Finally, select the affiliate campaign you want to trigger or exclude from your workflow.

Payout Method
This filter will help you include or exclude sales from affiliates who have added a payout method. To use it, select “Payout Method” from the Filters dropdown and choose an operator.

W8/W9 Form
This will trigger the workflow based on whether the affiliate has submitted tax forms.

Once you are satisfied with your selections, click “Save Trigger” to establish your changes.

Add your actions as normal, then save your workflow. Using this trigger helps you manage affiliate sales immediately as they enter your CRM, leading to smoother communications, improved onboarding, and increased ROI on your affiliate campaigns.
