Pipeline Permissions

Your pipelines contain all the key information of a customer's journey and a deal's details. So, with them being so important, some members of your team may not need access to them, or you may want to limit the editing capabilities to admins only. In those cases, you can easily manage the permission access inside the Pipelines tab. Follow along to learn how!

Managing Permissions

Navigate to the Pipelines tab inside the Opportunities section and click the key icon next to your desired pipeline.

Managing Users

To your right, a panel will open, allowing you to select how you want to share the pipeline. Pick between:

  1. Share with all users: This is selected by default and will automatically grant access to all staff members.
  2. Share with selected users: This option lets you select which users you want to have access to this pipeline.
  3. Exclude specific users: By selecting this option, you will grant all unselected users access to the pipeline. Removing your selected users from interacting with the pipeline.

If you've chosen to share with or exclude users, you'll be able to select them from the drop-down menu. Remember, all admins have full access to all pipelines and can't be excluded.

When selecting to exclude a user, you'll get an error message if they have assigned opportunities to prevent revoking access from opportunity owners and the opportunity from becoming orphaned.

Managing Permissions

Once you've selected the users you wish to grant access to, select the level of permission from the drop-down menu on the right. There, you can select from view (to prevent editing), edit (to grant full control), and No access (to fully remove the pipeline).

Once you're satisfied with your permissions, click Save to apply them.

This will inmediately add or remove the selected permissions to your chosen users, including linked elements (dashboards, reports, forms, workflows), ensuring your pipelines are always managed properly by the correct people.
